Hello.

If you're taking one of my classes, would you be so kind as to email me? Just need to make sure we've got a working email list so I can get your assignments to you in a timely fashion.

Thank you.

Good Afternoon, students. I hope you're all having a jolly sort of Christmas vacation. If you're not, it's your own fault for being so droll.

If you are enrolled in any of my classes for next semester, you will find that your book list requirements have been posted in the college stores. To be clear, my Honors Literature class will need to purchase all of the books. If you have already read the books on the list, then you may pick up the next series of books for the second nine weeks.

If you can't read fairly quickly, don't bother applying to my classes. I don't have time to waste on you, and you shouldn't waste your money on a class you can't keep up with.

I'm not looking forward to the first day of school either, so if you've got anything to say to me before then it'd better be important. If anyone makes a remark about my ears at any point this semester, you will be given a failing grade, or an incomplete if I'm feeling nice. No, I'm not kidding, don't try your luck.

Happy New Year!

-Doctor James McCrimmon

... Mercury's gone. Princess Mercury, how are you doing?

Sorry... must have fallen asleep again.

Happens to me a bit more frequently than I'd like.

Blimey, this is boring.

Nothing on the Indigeo or the Keepers, I'm afraid.

[The PDA clicks on.]

Right. Not doing that again, ta very much.

Ooo! Fantastic! Cuffs are off. Not to state the obvious, but we're certainly not out of the woods yet, there's the presence of the Keepers still to be dealt with, the Indigoen... and the Warden, wherever he is, blimey, not that I was too overly fond of him, but I have the feeling whatever's happening to him is far worse than what happened to us.

We all just need to... need to keep our heads through all of this. Focus on honing our abilities. I'm going to try and code up a map of the underground in Econtra.

We may have the cuffs removed, but we certainly haven't been given our freedom, we certainly aren't safe. I haven't been out of the church yet, just sort of woke up, but is the compound a wreck or just as we left it? Anyone?

Persephone; I remember. I remember everything. The names of all the stars in all the galaxies, all the planets, the histories of worlds... and...

[The Doctor's voice sharpens audibly.]

And I have some research to do before this all buggers off, because I very much doubt this entire change is for good.

... I'd like to find the Warden, as well.

[The PDA is shut off.]

[Static cuts in, the drastic interference likely from the nearby presence of an Entropi. Energy crackles and snaps nearby somewhere, panicked screams ringing out now and again. The Doctor's voice comes quietly from the PDA speakers, out to those devices held by those still living.]

Anyone! Anyone who can hear me! Try to get beneath the church, there's a basement down there, all stone, laced with metal pipes from the old heater systems. Get as far underground as you can. It's relatively protected, if you're lucky, there might be some of the tombs you can wrench open and try and live out the attacks. Don't give up, whatever you do, don't surrender, don't lose hope. Humans, you lot are fantastic. I know you'll think up something. I'll be standing here, trying to hold them off for as long as possible, there's a back door, in the vestry! Go through that way, the basement stairs are the first door on the left, on into the main sanctuary!

[Another crackle of energy sounds, the PDA erupts into static for a moment. The Doctor's voice picks up in pitch a touch, words scrambling together.]

Ohh---... Blimey. Rose Tyler? My Rose. If you're still alive. You've got to be alive. Get somewhere safe.

There's no regeneration after this, no new face to get used to, no brilliant plan to rush off and save the world. I've got nothing. I can't protect you, not now, but if you can get here, there might be a chance. Now run, girl, I know you can! If I don't see you. If I don't make it... I promised...

Rose, you've always known. Does it really need said?

I love you.

[The PDA clicks off.]

[A muffled groan comes from over the speaker, some shifting of fabric, and a dull thunk.]

Seems like I've been asleep or something? Rather odd. Let's see, judging by - ... oh, right, just look at the clock...

A week!? Oh, alright, I suppose it could be worse. A lot worse, judging by some of the things I've heard, read, what have you. So... so, hrm... so... Everyone alright? Persephone? Rose? Lady Sylvanas? Espio? Robin, even you, you alright? Oh, and Helena, did you ever get the vestry cleaned out? Blimey, my inbox is full... 's going to take me awhile to clear everything out.

So, Econtra, how much have I missed? Anyone care to ah, fill me in?

Or not, really, doesn't much matter to me. Someone can tell me or I can read back a few... hundred... messages.

[The PDA is clicked off.]

Ohhhh... blimey!

Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, 'cause I'm just a poor boy nobody loves me! And I can't decide whether you should live or die, but who wa-a-a-a-a-an-t-s to l-i-i-i-i-v-e-e-e fore-eeveerrrrr? There's a starman waiting in the sky! He'd like to come and meet us, but he thinks he'd blow our minds!

[The singing continues, tooth-wrenchingly out of key.]

Brilliant! Marvelous! Absolutely briiilliaaant!

[A familiar voice sounds over the communicator. It is the Doctor, and he is indeed himself again.]

...Well. That was weird.  Hello everyone, hope I wasn't too much of a git, and if I was, I do apologize, Nine's a bit of a snarky fellow.

Great, now my shoes are stretched out.

Alright, look, all of you "newcomers" to Econtra. You all ask the bloody same things over and over again, so I'm going to make your short little lives a little easier, especially for you, little human apes. Why in the world this place would want humans to fight a war, I'll never know. Short lived, stupid, and there's a whole planet of you! You're like the garbage disposal of the universe!

At any rate. When you open your PDA, screen your messages by sender. Search term, "Warden." It'll come up with all of his entries. Read through all of them, and read through his responses to everyone's questions. Start from the earliest, read into the newest. After you're done with that, there's a young lady here by the name of Mercury, she's done some extensive research on Econtra and the nature of this blasted place. If she's feeling nice, she may let you read some of the things she's compiled. Maybe.

When you're done with ALL of that, THEN you can talk. Until then, stop cluttering my inbox.

Ta very much.

To the rest of you, do the same thing! It's educational!

[A rather annoyed mid-tenor with a distinct Northern accent comes crackling through communicators.]

Oh, come on.

This is ridiculous! I thought I was rid of these ears for good!

Reply here, please.

Name, abilities.

You don't have to reply to this if you don't want to,  and if you have any questions, read my last three posts, and then ask.

Thank you.

Edit:

Upon request:

I am called the Doctor. I have a number of other names, but they're sort of unimportant.

My abilities the following, though they have been largely dampened due to the cuff, I believe.

Time travel via a space ship called the TARDIS. I don't have the TARDIS right now.

I can perform a Time Lock on an area, which suspends all motion... for all of time, though I'm not really inclined to do it again. Not after -...

I age much, much slower than I should, really. My reflexes are much better, I have stronger senses. I can withstand incredibly extreme temperatures and high radiation that is lethal to humans and other orders of beings. I have a bypass respirator system, I can't be strangled. I have two hears that contribute to it.  I can also remain conscious under intense G-forces. I don't sleep or each much, so, incredibly slow metabolism. If wounded I can enter a sort of ah... trance-thing... to get healthier.

I can sense time. I know what can be changed, and what can't, I have a sense of all possible time lines; and I can sense lines that have been erased.

I'm also telepathic, though it involves physical touch with anyone who isn't a Time Lord.

So that's it.

Oh blimey, what in the world...?

...Bloody Econtra.

At any rate. Sorry about... oh for the love of-...

Oh my, but this is distracting.

Anyone who replied to my last entry, please respond to the next entry with, if you like, a screened reply describing your abilities and talents. We'll organize from there.

Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to go fix this blasted thing.
